AS the Committee proceeded with these inquiries, several distinct fields of investigation emerged and led the Committee to adopt the plan of bringing out a group of reports instead of a single volume. The first of these studies, which has already appeared, was entitled Reli gion among American Men: as Revealed by a Study Of Conditions in the Army, and dealt with the lessons that it was felt had been learned from the experience of the men in the army. The present volume is concerned with the Missionary Outlook in the Light Of the War. Other forthcoming reports will deal with the Church and Industrial Reconstruction, the Teaching Work of the Church in the Light of the Present Situation, and Principles of Christian Unity in the Light of the War.
